Greetings from Oklahoma! 🙂
When I began researching shipping container homes, I fell in love with this one. A lovely couple, Tyler and Hannah Bright, from Sand Springs, Oklahoma built a 2,500 square-foot house out of five shipping containers.
Building from the ground up wasn’t easy for these two, but they did it! And lucky for us they blogged about the whole thing 🙂 Bright Container House is filled with updates from start to finish. Mrs. Bright says on her last post that she is currently with her newest addition to their family. Congrats!
You can see from the side of the house that they have three containers on the first floor, two containers on the second floor, and a gorgeous deck above the first floor. The first floor includes the master suite, kitchen, mud room, dining room, living room (which includes a fireplace), and office area. Right off the dining room is the master suite. Their bedroom/closet/bathroom takes up one length of a 40ft container.
This house really generated a lot of buzz! The more I read into it, the more I found that everyone from The Sand Springs Leader to their home being featured on HGTV’s Container Home; there was also a story by ABC World News! Here is the clip!
Overall it’s a beautiful space for their new family 🙂 Between the dog, cat, goat house, two adorable little ones, and 5 acres of family land… they are living the dream!
